The Pelabuhan Ratu magnetic observatory (IAGA

code: PLR) is one of magnetic obervatories under Indonesian Agency for

Meteorological, Climatological and Geophysics (BMKG) which located in

the province of West Java, Indonesia. This Observatory was established

in 2007 and starting from 2009 this observatory joined the INTERMAGNET

network. Earth's magnetic observation equipments at this observatory

include DMI Fluxgate Magnetometer FGE, Proton Magnetometer,

Theodolite, and DIFlux Magnetometer Wild T-1. Unfortunately in

September 2012 the 150kV high-voltage transmission line across the

house of magnetic sensors and absolute observation shelter, thus

affecting the observations and recording of Earth's magnets in this

observatory. In this paper will be discussed about the history,

development, and analysis of data observatory. Then we will also

discuss how high the influence of high-voltage transmission line on

the quality of magnetic data in Pelabuhan Ratu

observatory.
