MagPy
MagPy (or GeomagPy) is a Python package for analysing and displaying geomagnetic data. MagPy provides tools for geomagnetic data analysis with special focus on typical data processing routines in observatories. MagPy provides methods for data format conversion, plotting and mathematical procedures with specifically geomagnetic analysis routines such as basevalue and baseline calculation and database handling. Among the supported data formats are ImagCDF, IAGA-02, WDC, IMF, IAF, BLV, and many more. Full installation also provides a graphical user interface, xmagpy. You will find a complete manual for xmagpy in the docs. See Download section below for a Windows version. Go to MagPy on Github for other systems.

MSP Tool
The MSP Tool is a Python Script to analyze Multispecimen Paleointensity measurements following the procedure suggested by Fabian and Leonhardt, 2009. The script is available on GitHUB.
Thellier Tool
The program ThellierTool 4.22 provides an intuitive plotting interface to analyze a wide range of different modifications of the Thellier absolute paleointensity experiment. ThellierTool 4.22 is coded within Visual C++ 6.0 and is running on all Windows platforms and using Wine also on Linux. All calculation results can be saved as tab-delimited text files.
Beside the Arai plot for paleointensity determinations, the ThellierTool provides orthogonal projections of the direction, decay of NRM during thermal demagnetization and additional plots regarding alteration and multidomain checks to enable the user to visualize the quality of individual determinations. Experimental checks for magneto-mineralogical changes, either in-field or zero-field pTRM* checks, are evaluated regarding their differences to the corresponding pTRM* acquisition in two most commonly used ways. Furthermore, a measure for the cumulative alteration differences beginning at room temperature is calculated and the possibility to correct for magneto-mineralogical changes is provided. Two different experimental methods to check for multidomain bias are supported and analyzed by the software. Intensity differences recorded by pTRM*-tail checks are calculated. Accounting for the directional difference between applied laboratory field and NRM of the sample, the effective pTRM*-tail is determined and thus failures of Thellier's law of independence are monitored. Failures of the law of additivity, experimentally observed by additivity checks, are also evaluated by the software. The vector nature of individual measurements is fully considered for all calculations. Uniform selection criteria for acceptance and rejection of determinations can be applied and a set of such criteria with emphasize on minimal bias due to alteration, multidomain remanence and analysis inaccuracies are suggested.

Rockmag Analyzer
The RockMag Analyzer 1.1 is a software to determine rock magnetic parameters from a broad variety of rock magnetic measurements. This software was particularly designed to visualize and evaluate data from isothermal remanent magnetization acquisition, coercivity curves, hysteresis loops and/or thermomagnetic curves. Various standard and non-standard rock magnetic parameters are calculated from these curves, thus, accelerating and simplifying the quantitative analysis of the measured data.
View options like plotting derivatives, para-/diamagnetic correction, etc. further enhance the data analysis. Procedures for smoothing and data fitting by mathematical functions are implemented. Isothermal remanent magnetization acquisition and coercivity curves can be fitted by log-Gaussian functions and hysteresis loops by hyperbolic basic functions. Curie temperature estimation from thermomagnetic curves is supported by two different automated approaches: a second derivative method and a extrapolation method. A number of additional diagrams provide composite plots of parameters obtained by different measurements, like the Day plot and the Henkel plot.
RockMag Analyzer was designed for the output file format of the Variable Field Translation Balance (MM VFTB). It also supports data from the PM VSM/AGFM.
