The Conrad Observatory is operated by a group of researchers and technicians. Although manual geomagnetic field measurements are carried out regularly, data acquisition and evaluation is largely autonomous.

In addition to research at the ZAMG, projects by external partners are also carried out at the observatory, which has magnetically quiet conditions and long-term temperature stability, offering optimal measurement conditions.
